Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for competitive contracting, not subject to public bidding pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1 will be received by the County Purchasing Agent of the County of Salem. The following services have been established as priorities:

Proposal for providing Three Health Care Shuttles for Salem County Senior Residents 60 years of age or older and Limited Disabled Residents, and General Population in a Designated Rural Area Provided by the Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities (Re-Bid)

Specifications may be obtained beginning Friday, January 6, 2023, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM from the Salem County Purchasing Department, 110 Fifth Street, Suite 400, Salem, New Jersey 08079

Responses shall be made on the forms and submitted in the manner designated within the specifications.  They shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the legend, “Proposal for Providing Health Care Shuttles for Salem County Senior Residents 60 years of age or older and Limited Disabled Residents, and General Population in a Designated Rural Area Provided by the Salem County Office on Aging and Disabilities (Re-Bid)” on the outermost package.  The deadline for all written questions is Friday, January 27, 2023. Respondents must submit one electronic copy, one Original (clearly marked “Original”) and three complete hard copies of their responses. The bids shall be returned to the Salem County Purchasing Department, 110 Fifth Street, Salem, NJ 08079 no later than Tuesday, February 7, at 11:00am prevailing time, when they will be opened and read in public at Salem County Offices, 110 Fifth Street, Health Department Conference Room #405, Salem, NJ 08079.  Late bids will not be considered.

Respondents are required to comply with requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and regulations.  Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), in accordance with the Department of transportation (DOT) Regulations 49 CFR Part 26, shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract.  A race DBE goal has been assigned for this project.
