Salem County, which is committed to developing traveling public, reduce long term maintenance, and transportation improvements that best balance transportation needs, the environment, community concerns, and costs, will hold a Virtual Public Information Center (PIC) to provide local residents and businesses with information on the resurfacing of Willow Grove Road (CR 639) in the Township of Pittsgrove, Salem County, NJ. You are encouraged to actively participate in viewing the Virtual PIC presentation. Comments can be made during the webinar, by mail, or by e-mail.

Background
Salem County has undertaken a project to reconstruct and resurface approximately 2.40 miles of Willow Grove Road (CR 639) between its intersections with Alvine Road (CR 655) and Parvin Mill Road (CR 645). Roadway drainage, signing, and striping will be upgraded. The goal of this project is to make improvements to the roadway surface and enhance public safety for all roadway users.
Project Consultant: Pennoni Associates, Inc.
During design, Pennoni will strive to identify feasible, constructible design concepts, minimize the time for permit acquisition, minimize the impact to the provide a cost-effective solution within the project schedule.
Proposed Construction
Salem County proposes to reconstruct and resurface approximately 2.40 miles of Willow Grove Road (CR 639) between its intersections with Alvine Road (CR 655) and Parvin Mill Road (CR 645):
- Resurface the existing roadway within the existing roadway footprint (no widening is to take place).
- Replace/upgrade existing sections of guiderail.
- Improve roadway drainage infrastructure and signing throughout the corridor. • New striping for lanes and shoulders.
Proposed Construction
Construction will be staged and performed with lane and shoulder closures. Detours will be provided to direct motorists to use alternate routes while the roadway is being reconstructed.
