Covid-19 News & Information

Salem County Department of Health has implemented an Online COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Scheduler. Currently this is only open to individuals who qualify under Phase 1a and 1b defined by the Governor. This includes healthcare workers, first responders, adults over the age of 65+, and any adult with underlying health conditions.

NJ Residents Housing Costs During Pandemic

New COVID-19 housing assistance program can help pay housing costs for new jersey residents unable to make payments due to COVID-19; households can get help to pay overdue and upcoming rent or mortgage.

Office on Aging and Disabilities Hearing: 2021 Contract With NJ Transit

The Public Hearing will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:30 pm by Zoom/Audio. For the purpose of soliciting comments on the proposed 2021 contract with NJ Transit on the use of funds provided under the Senior Citizens and Disabled Residents Transportation Assistance Act and Rural Area Public Transportation (5311).

NJBAC COVID-19 Business Recovery Services

Long after COVID-19 closed many business, New Jersey is reopening, but new protocols are in place and safety is priority one. Masks, social distancing and frequent hand washing or hand sanitizing are the norm.

COVID-19 Testing – Children Only

Monday – Friday, 2pm – 4pm at the Old Salem County Courthouse. Patients must be symptomatic. Masks are required for testing. Must call 609-569-4712 to register.

The New Jersey Wind Port Project

The New Jersey Wind Port project, billed as the first in the nation to be built specifically to support the development of offshore wind farms, may be a green boom for Salem County.

Fort Mott Resolution

At the 8/19/2020 County Commissioner meeting, a resolution was passed regarding the closure of Fort Mott Park.
