Notice Of Pending Capital Ordinance Number 2026-001 And Summary
The capital ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Salem, State of New Jersey, on February 4, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners to be held at the Olde Salem Court House, 104 Market Street, Salem, New Jersey on February 18, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.
During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners for the members of the general public who shall request the same. The summary of the terms of such capital ordinance follows:
Title: Capital Ordinance Providing For Various Capital Improvements To The Salem County Correctional Facility By And For The County Of Salem, State Of New Jersey; And Appropriating $7,200,000 From The County Of Gloucester, State Of New Jersey
Purpose(s): Various Capital Improvements At The Salem County Correctional Facility Including, But Not Limited To, The Repair And/Or Replacement Of Roof And Updates To Locking Control System, And Also Shall Also Include All Equipment, Accessories, Materials And Work Necessary Therefor Or Incidental Thereto
Appropriation: $7,200,000
