The Salem County Purchasing Agent invites sealed bids to repair the existing Dover Hydraulic Elevator (cira 1997 with upgraded infra red closures) located at the Salem County Administration Building located at 94 Market Street, Salem, NJ 08079.
Specifications may be obtained during regular business days, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM from the Salem County Purchasing Department, Salem County Office Complex, 100 Fifth Street, Suite 400, Street, Salem, New Jersey, 08079 or they will be mailed up on telephone request (856) 935-7510, Extension 8401.
Bids shall be made on the standard bid forms and submitted in the manner designated within the Specifications. They shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the legend, “Bid to Repair the Salem County Administration Building Elevator” on the outside. The bids shall be returned to the Salem County Purchasing Agent by Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 11:00 A.M. prevailing time, when they will be opened and read in public. Late bids will not be considered.
Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars, and made payable to Kelly Hannigan, Salem County Treasurer.
When a surety company bond (performance bond) is specified, each bidder must include with the bid proposal a certificate or letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in the sum so stated if he is successfully awarded a contract.
A successful bidder, when awarded a contract, shall furnish a performance bond in the full amount of the contract to insure faithful performance. Said bond is to be that of an approved, licensed surety company authorized to transact business in the State of New Jersey.
A pre-bid tour, if requested, shall be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 commencing at 9:00 AM in the Salem County Purchasing Department, Salem County Office Complex, 100 Fifth Street, Suite 400, Street, Salem, New Jersey, 08079.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) Affirmative Action and P.L. 1977, c. 33 (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) Corporate Disclosure.
