Notice is hereby given that the Public Works Committee of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Salem will receive sealed Bids for the “2019 OIL AND STONE PROGRAM FOR THE COUNTY OF SALEM in accordance with the Specifications therefore.

Specifications for this Project are on file in the Office of the Salem County Engineer, and may be inspected during regular business hours. Copies of the Specifications will be forwarded upon proper request to the Engineer.

Bids must be submitted on standard proposal forms in the manner designated within the Specifications. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder on the outside along with the Project being Bid. Bids will be opened and read in public in the SALEM COUNTY ENGINEER’S OFFICE, FIFTH STREET COMPLEX, 110  FIFTH STREET, SALEM,  NEW JERSEY 08079, on WEDNESDAY, JULY 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM, prevailing time. All Bids must be received on or before the scheduled time.  Not responsible for late delivery of Bids.  Bids must be accompanied by a CERTIFIED CHECK for TEN PERCENT (10%) of the amount Bid or an acceptable BID BOND. A CONSENT OF SURETY from an approved Surety Company must also be submitted with the Bid.

Suppliers are hereby put on notice that Prevailing Wage Rates Chapter 150; and Chapter 33 of Public Laws of 1977 will be enforced in this Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements P.L. 1975 c. 127.  Right is reserved to reject any or all Bids received and to limit purchases to funds available.
