Director Bob Vanderslice is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Griscom to the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Freeholder Griscom was administered the Oath of Office to fill the vacant seat.

“I am excited to welcome Scott to the board,” said Director Bob Vanderslice, “he brings an understanding of our county needs, a desire to be conservative with our residents tax dollars and getting the most for our money. He will be a tremendous asset as we further our mission to continue making the right decisions for this County.”

Scott Griscom resides in Mannington Township with his wife, Gwynne. He was born and raised in Mannington Township, graduated from West Chester University and returned to Salem County upon graduation. He and his wife operated a farm for many years raising cattle, pigs, eventually moved to operating a Christmas tree farm. Freeholder Griscom retired from Pennsville Memorial High School after 32 years of teaching physical education and coaching. He volunteered for 10 years with Habitat for Humanity and for the past 8 years, he has been a volunteer assistant wrestling coach for Woodstown School District.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the residents of Salem County in this capacity. I do not have any political background; however, I am looking forward to using the skills I have to continue this county in the right direction. We have limited money to spend and we need to utilize those funds in the most efficient manner,” stated Freeholder Scott Griscom.
