| Description: | Salem City is home to the oldest entirely volunteer fire company in New Jersey, founded in 1749. The Museum is housed in Union Fire Company's second firehouse, built in 1863, which has been restored to its original appearance. The Museum features a collection of historic firefighting equipment including Union’s antique pumper and fire service artifacts. Open for special events and by appointment. Free. |
