Julie Acton, Freeholder Director, was honored as Freeholder of the Year by the New Jersey Conference of Mayors at their 53rd Annual Spring Conference Legislative Reception on Thursday, April 28.
Acton was selected for her tireless efforts, energy, and dedication to helping Salem County residents, shaping policy, and significant contributions in public service to benefit the constituents.
Acton was truly humbled to be recognized by the Conference of Mayors, “You have selected me for this award, but I am really receiving this on behalf of the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholder team and residents of Salem County. They believe in me and allow me to represent them, to be their public servant. My goal is to make Salem County a better place to live, work, and raise a family. Decisions do not come lightly- as mayors, you know that. I pray to God every day for the wisdom, energy, and strength to serve well. Attending the various events throughout the county, makes me mindful that what we do affects lives, services, programs, and our future,” stated Julie Acton, Freeholder Director.
