The Salem County Health Department has Potassium Iodide (KI) Pills available for people who live or work within the 10 mile radius of the Salem – Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Station. Municipalities that are within the 10 mile radius are Lower Alloways Creek, Elsinboro, Salem City, Quinton, Mannington, and Pennsville. The map below shows the areas within the radius. The Health Department holds a KI Distribution at least once a year for community members to receive KI pills for their household or workplace. KI pills are also available at the Health Department during regular business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
