R. Ware, Director
Chairman – Administration
Committee
Mr. Ware is a resident of Elsinboro
Township, serving his seventh year as Freeholder with 4 years as
Director. Mr. Ware was a teacher in the Woodstown School system for
38 years. He has been recognized for his coaching achievements being
named All South Jersey Coach of the Year and inducted into the Salem
County Sports Hall of Fame. He recently recorded his 500th Career

Beth E. Timberman
Chairman – Transportation, Tourism & Agriculture Committee

Ms. Timberman is a Democrat District 1 Committeewoman in Woodstown, serving her sixth year as Freeholder. She works for Woodstown Family Practice as a Registered Nurse bringing twenty-six years of experience to the post. She obtained her BS in Nursing from Trenton State College with a School Nurse Certificate from Rowan University and was a member of the Class of 2008 of the County Leadership Institute at NYU. Ms. Timberman is President of the South Jersey Freeholders Association, the Salem County representative on the New Jersey Association of Counties, secretary of the South Jersey Economic Development Council, vice chair of the Salem Health & Wellness Foundation Board, and a member of AAUW - Salem County Branch. She is also a liaison to the SJTPO, Tourism Advisory Council, Cultural & Heritage Commission, Commission on Women and a Trustee of Elmer Methodist Church, where she teaches Sunday School. Bruce Bobb itt
Chairman – Public Works
Mr. Bobbitt is a resident of Pilesgrove Township serving his seventh year as Freeholder. He served six years as a Pilesgrove Committeeman and two years on Pilesgrove-Woodstown Board of Education. He is a member of the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Bobbitt graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School and is a US Army Vietnam veteran. He has three children bruce.bobbitt@salemcountynj.gov

David Lindenmuth, Deputy Director

Mr. Lindenmuth is a resident of Woodstown serving his second term as Freeholder. He is married to his wife Christine and has one son and three daughters. Mr. Lindenmuth attended Wilmington College where he received a Masters of Education in School Counseling and West Chester University where he received a B.S. Ed in Mathematics. He is currently the Superintendent of Oldmans Township School. He previously was an Administrator at Salem Middle School and Served on the Woodstown Borough Council for 7 years. He also has been a member of the Salem County Advisory Solid Waste Committee; The Salem community Democratic Leadership Committee attendee and the Calvary Community Development Board of Trustees. Ben Laury
Chairman – Social Services/Planning Committee
 Mr. Laury is a resident of the Borough of Elmer serving his first term as Freeholder. He is a graduate of Drexel University and has been a successful business owner for 24 years, Laury Heating Co. He has served as a member of the Elmer Board of Education, Elmer Borough Council, and Elmer Planning Board. Within the community he is the Finance Committee Chairman for Elmer United Methodist Church. Growing up he was an Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America. He has been a member of the Rotary Club for 24 years, and a Paul Harris Fellow. Ben and his wife Kathy have two children, Brittany and Timothy. ben.laury@salemcountynj.gov

Dale A. Cross
Chairman – Health Committee
The son of Stewart and Valarie, Mr. Cross is a resident of Pennsville Township serving his first term as Freeholder. He and his wife Kathy have one son, Kyle. Upon Graduation from Glassboro State College in 1986 with a BA in Finance, he gained employment with PSEG Nuclear where he is currently employed as a Controls Technician and proud member of IBEW Local 94. He currently volunteers time to Island Charities, which assists needy County residents. He is a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Old Oak#6, donating his time lettering the bibles for member families. Dale and his wife attend Queen of the Apostles Church where he currently serves as a lector. He and his teammates from the undefeated 1981 State Championship baseball team gained induction into the Salem County Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. dale.cross@salemcountynj.gov

Julie A. Acton is a resident of Pennsville Township. As a Salem County Freeholder, she serves as chair of the County Committees of the Salem Community College, Salem County Vocational Technical School, Salem County Special Services School District, Superintendent of Schools, Board of Elections, Workforce Investments Board and Salem County Board of Social Services. Mrs. Acton has been active in the community serving on the Salem County Women's Services Board, Meals on Wheels, Parish Council and Finance Committee for Queen of Apostles Church, DuPont Community Advisory Panel, Salem County Chamber of Commerce member, Committeeperson for the Boy Scouts, Troop 15, New Jersey Governor's Board of Volunteerism and Board of Trustees for Family Promise of Salem County. Julie graduated from the first class of the Christine Todd Whitman Excellence in Public Service Series, and also graduated from the New Jersey Association of Counties LEAD Program. She is the daughter of Virgil and Jean Gross and resides with her husband John and two sons, Jonathan and Justin. julie.acton@salemcountynj.gov
