The Salem County Sheriff's Office held a K9 demonstration during the October 19th Freeholder Workshop meeting and discussed the importance of the dogs, handlers, and training of the dogs. The demonstrations used provided details of scenarios that may occur and why a K9 is important at a police scene.

The K9's who were escorted by their handler included: K9 Dutch, K9 Titan, K9 Oliver, K9 Frodo, and K9 Roxy.

The next Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders meeting will be tomorrow, October 19, 2016. This meeting will be held at the Woodstown Borough Municipal Building, 25 West Ave. Woodstown NJ. The workshop meeting begins at 6:00 pm, followed by the regular meeting at 7:00pm. Agendas can be found on the county website at www.salemcountynj.gov.

At the 6pm workshop meeting, Sgt. Robert Hans his K-9 partners Spartan and Bandit, and Officer Micah Warren his K-9 partners Titan and Dutch will be giving a demonstration to close out National Substance Abuse Prevention Month (October) . Not only is it important to recognize the millions of Americans suffering from substance abuse, but to also recognize those who assist getting these illicit drugs off the street.
